The DAWES Project can advise or work along side agencies that are supporting women who experience domestic abuse within Greater Manchester. They can request a copy of the DAWES good practice guide which contains information which would be useful for supporting and signposting working women who experience domestic abuse.
Agencies can also request presentations and training on the work of the project and why domestic abuse is a workplace issue.
Women who have experienced domestic abuse and are working can access the following FREE services:
- Employment rights advice and information
- Support to disclose the abuse to their employer
- Support with grievance and disciplinary processes
- Emotional support.
Agencies can refer women to the project simply by calling or emailing on the contact details below with the name of the client and a telephone number it is safe to contact them on. Our details can also be given out for women to contact us directly.
The project can support women over the telephone, by email or post, or by meeting face-to-face in the woman’s local area.
If it is not appropriate for us to have direct contact with the woman, the project can provide information and advice to a support worker who is calling on behalf of the woman.
